He not only 'finds' the beautiful moving; rather, he experiences himself as being moved and possessed by it."
"Everywhere I go, I'm asked if I think the universities stifle writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a best seller that could have been prevented by a good teacher."
"Christians are called to leave behind, in the tomb of Jesus Christ, all that belongs to the brokenness and incompleteness of the present world. It is time, in the power of the Spirit, to take up our proper role, our fully human role, as agents, heralds, stewards of the new day that is dawning."
"When we think our brother or sister has sinned against us, such an affront is not just against us but against the whole community. A community established as peaceful cannot afford to let us relish our sense of being wronged without exposing that wrong in the hopes of reconciliation."

totally unrelated but this article really was eye-opening for me: http://www.lewrockwell.com/rothbard/rothbard80.html
And on another unrelated point what's up with this "icon" of Jesus making out with Buddha. The caption you gave it is troubling. Buddhism and Christianity are not motivated by the same fundamental impetus; they are radically different. Only by reducing these religions to slogans will they begin to sound of the same spirit.
Ian: I'll check out your article after work today.
They're not "making out," they're giving a friendship hug. It's what freinds do.... Coem on, didn't you ever watch Mr. Rogers as a kid, Ian?
Whatevah, Mike.
I so just heard you with a Boston accent Kyle. It made me smile.
:)
Mike, I must agree with Ian, I highly doubt that Buddha would have had symptathy for Jesus, nor do I think Jesus would have had sympathy for Buddah. I find that "icon" to be a peace of blasphemy that I would shatter on the ground if it was before me. I am disappointed in your syncretism. You remind me of the Hebrews in the OT prostituting themselves out to the cannanite idols or not-gods.
St. Athansius the Strong
Mike, I'm diggin' the new header. It's new to me, anyway.
Athanasius: I would disagree but that is for a later discussion which I am sure you will be a part of.
Joe: Thanks man. Do you like what I did with your template?
